About me

Team & Leadership Coach

Stop censoring yourself.

It’s the economy, stupid!

From an early age, the culture of share investments, finance and economic evolution has always been of great fascination to me. This interest led me to study Economics at university, which in time got me a job at Ernst and Young and introduced me into the world I always wanted to be a part of.

For instance: you might recognise me as one of the columnists and participants of De Tijd’s Beursrally in 2018-2019. Actually diving deep into the investment world and finding philosophy in numbers. Love it. Care for a bit of light reading? Step back in time with me:

Numbers are numbers. But they actually get shaped by the people behind them.

From the numbers game, to the people game

What I was surprised to learn more about during my time working in accountancy, was the irrationality of people. Hear me out: numbers are numbers. But they actually get shaped by the people behind them working in specific corporate cultures, following or rejecting certain types of leaderships, bringing their personalities to work, etc.

It turns out this soft side of business sparked my interest equally hard as the hard side of business I had always done. So I started some projects on the side that focused more on the humanity in economics. For instance: how to create an environment for happy employees.

People trust me with their story

Exploring new corporate cultures, I found myself working in the startup world and specialised into the people side of business.

Both during my functions as Customer Success Officer and Chief Happiness Officer, people trusted me with their professional grievances and felt safe to open up.

When people are stuck in their job and experience a fight or flight mode, they need an exterior party to help them see what they keep missing.

Presenting myself as an objective, but empathetic counsellor, I was able to do exactly that and created movement in difficult situations.

Leaving my comfort zone

At a certain point, I needed movement in my own life. The corporate world taught me a great deal, but now I was curious what I could learn about the actual world. So I sold all of my stuff and travelled for 14 months.

Boy, did I love this adventure. Choosing the nomad lifestyle did not come easy and surprised me in many ways, but this experience reminded me every day that jumping into the unknown is what it takes to conscious living. So when I came back to Belgium my calling was clear: helping people create grand pivots in their life, in order not to shy away from living it.

Helping people pivot through crisis situations

And that’s where we’re at. All these experiences lead me to the exact place I need to be right now: a helping position. When you’re going through dark times or when the world gets too loud, I’m here to help you see and hear.

I’m not sure if there is such a thing as a standard coach, but I certainly don’t aspire to be one. I frankly don’t give a damn about coaching practices either. My aspiration is to deliver you the pivot you need to take control of your life. To create a new Momentum in your life: the foundation for actual change.
